Congratulations to Mr. Steve Klock on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for November. Mr. Klock handles all the duties necessary to serve 460 students daily at Chenango Bridge Elementary's cafeteria. Mr. Klock makes sure that all students special dietary needs are met. Mr. Klock receives high praise from fellow staff as a dedicated employee willing to go beyond expectations for the benefit and well being of all who depend on his services daily. Mr. Klock is an example of the very best influence we can bestow upon our students.

Congratulations to Mr. George Stephens on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for December. In nominating Mr. Stephens his superiors wrote the following: "Mr. Stephens is someone who exhibits qualities of fairness, impartiality, accessibility, dedication and devotion, to Union Endicott's core mission of educating students for the future. He recognizes the importance of treating all with respect, dignity, and compassion. Congratulations to Mrs. Gisele Cummings on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for January. In nominating Mrs. Cummings, Maine Endwell High School Principal Jason Van Fossen wrote: "Gisele has been a wonderful person to work with, always willing to help and one of the most gracious and humble people I have ever met. She never appears to have a "bad day", but is always upbeat and positive. Gisele is the epitome of professionalism, courtesy, and humility. I cannot think of a more deserving person."

Congratulations to Mary Lou Wheeler on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for March. In nominating Mrs. Wheeler, her colleagues wrote the following: "Mary Lou has been an integral part of the Vestal School District's family for over 15 years. She can often times be found working before and after hours and weekends to ensure every employees information is accurate and on time. Mary Lou always answers questions cheerfully and treats each person as if they are the only one in the district."

Congratulations to Mr. Benjamin Frisbie on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for April. Mr. Frisbie has served the Owego Apalachin School District for over 29 years, touching the lives of over 3,000 students as a social studies teacher. Most recently, Mr. Frisbie has been the Director of The Teacher Learning Center, where he has helped over 200 teachers with their professional development. Mr. Frisbie has shown the willingness to go beyond his job expectations throughout his career to benefit the entire district. The entire community wishes you and your wife Linda a wonderful retirement.

Congratulations to Ms. Mary Frances Charsky on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for May. Ms. Charsky began her service for the Susquehanna Valley School District in 1975. She has been serving as principal of the Donnelly Elementary School since 1990. Ms. Charsky has announced that she will be retiring in June to continue her love of traveling and service for her church which includes work in Uganda. Ms. Charsky's dedication to her students at Donnelly as well as her humanitarian services are a true testiment to the quality of education our children receive.

Congratulations to Mrs. Michele Colgan on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for June. Mrs. Colgan is the Senior Office Secretary at the Windsor Middle School. Michele's dedication to her school's students is invaluable. She spends countless hours behind the scenes organizing a variety of events for students and staff. Mrs. Colgan's positive outlook and constant smile brighten the day for staff, students, parents, and community members who visit the Windsor Middle School. Congratulations to Mrs. Kathy Price and Mrs. Debbie Oliver as being selected as BCT's School District Employees of the Month for October. Together they organize and implement two important giveaway programs benefiting approximately 350 individuals and 20 families each year. First, a giant giveaway, held in late August where people can choose a variety of items free of charge. Secondly, a holiday gift program, providing for students in need at the high school and approximately 20 family gift packages. BCT and the Whitney Point School District honor Mrs. Price and Mrs. Oliver for their willingness to go beyond expectations to benefit families of the Whitney Point School District.

Congratulations to Elizabeth DiCosimo on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for November. In a very crucial and challenging position, Mrs. DiCosimo sorts through all the ever changing laws and regulations governing special needs children and educates the district concerning them. Elizabeth is a very intelligent, hard working professional who's most important trait is her caring and devotion to special needs children and the effort she puts forth to insure they are served well. Congratulations to Karen Jennings-Laskowski on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for December. Although Karen retired from teaching at the end of 2006, her contribution as a 3rd grade teacher at CFJ Elementary left a impression with her co-workers and students that will never be forgotten. In 2006, Karen was awarded the district's Alan Lichstein Outstanding Employee Award. During her tenure, Karen's love of teaching earned her great respect from her piers. Congratulations to Mrs. Genevieve Mazzitelli on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for January. Genevieve has served the Binghamton School District since 1971. She currently works in the district's attendance office where she oversees the scheduling of teachers for the district's home schooling program along with the distribution of bus passes and student id's. Mrs. Mazzitelli has always been a loyal and dedicated employee, willing to go the extra mile to serve the district and it's students. Congratulations to Mr. Dave McDonald
on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for February. Mr. McDonald is the bowling coach and high school monitor at the Maine Endwell High School. An employee for over 30 years, Dave has left a lasting legacy as a punctual, courteous employee willing to go beyond his responsibilities without hesitation. Mr. McDonald, a former marine, honored past Maine Endwell graduates who sacrified their lives for our country with a touching memorial on display in the high school lobby. Congratulations to Mrs. Jane Hashey on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for March. Mrs. Hashey is the assistant principal at the Vestal High School. Mrs. Hashey demonstrates high standards of performance for both herself and students at Vestal High School. She is a model of integrity, collaboration, and leadership for all students and staff.
Mrs. Hashey structures the academic intervention services model and monitors student progress, helping students and staff to reach well beyond expectations. Congratulations to Mr. Cliff Halliday on being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for April. Mr. Halliday has been with the district since 1995 where he lives with his wife and three children. Nominated by fellow drivers, Cliff was honored by the New York Association for Pupil Transportation as the 2007 School Bus Technician of the Year, recognizing him for exemplifying the characteristics of excellence and quality, resulting in safer school buses and school bus travel for our children. Congratulations to Mrs. Heather Herringshaw on being seledted as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for May. Mrs. Herringshaw is a true example of what an educator should be; a passionate dedicated instructor. Heather teaches multiple levels of french at the high school with extrordinary Regents results. She received a passing rate of 100% in 2007. Annually selected as the department leader, Mrs. Herringshaw has developed many programs, fundraisers, and chaperoned many events.
