BCT would like to congratulate Thomas Gilbert, 5th grader at Floyd Bell Elementary, as BCT's Outstanding Student Award Winner. Thomas' teacher Mrs. Fischer writes:

"Thomas has been working exceptionally hard in writing essays which does not come easily th him. It is easy to work hard in things we are good at, not so easy when the task is difficult for us."

BCT and the Windsor School District honor Thomas for all his hard work and dedication to overcome any difficulties he may face and succeed in everything he does.

School District Employee of the Month

Connie Porterfield
Susquehanna Valley School District

Congratulations to Mrs. Connie Porterfield for being selected as BCT's School District Employee of the Month for June. Mrs. Porterfield's willingness to go beyond expectations for the benefit of her students at Donnelly Elementary has inspired fellow educators to meet her high standards of excellence.

Connie is a reading recovery and AIS teacher at Donnelly, and will be retiring at the end of the school year. Throughout her career she has always put her studnets needs first, been a mentor for co-workers, shown a postive attitude, constant smile and an obivous love for her students and profession.

Alexia Miller, fellow teacher writes, "Connie was my 4th grade teacher many years ago and I credit her with who I am as a teacher today. She will be greatly missed by all who's lives she has touched."

BCT and the Susquehanna Valley School District thank Connie Porterfield for her steadfast dedication to the students and families of the SVSchool District.
